FBI Honors Youth Worker with Director's Community Leadership Award
The FBI presented Savenia Falquist with the Director's Community Leadership Award on Thursday, March 13, 2008, at Madras High School. Ms. Falquist was the driving force behind the production of "Silent Message", a film documenting the all-too-real problem of child sex abuse on the Warm Springs Reservation and around the region. Ms. Falquist, who was formerly the Madras Youth Development Coordinator, brought together a diverse group of film makers, community activists and Madras High School students to produce the emotional and provocative piece. Ms. Falquist worked with a group of at-risk teenagers from Madras High School to develop the idea. The students, many of whom were victims of sex abuse themselves, volunteered as actors or production assistants. After recruiting a family of local film makers, the group began production of the project in the spring of 2006. Since then, it has been shown many times in communities around the state. "I am truly honored to receive this award on behalf of myself and the many other folks who worked on this film project," Ms. Falquist said. "When we come together as communities to protect children, we can accomplish great things." Assistant Special Agent in Charge Dan Nielsen made the presentation to Ms. Falquist. "Savenia is exactly the kind of person we look to honor," he said. "She is passionate, she is committed and she cares for these children more than anything. She is living proof that one person can make the ultimate difference." Every year, each of the FBI's 56 field offices nominates one person or group to receive the Director's Award for Community Leadership. The award, given on behalf of Director Robert Mueller, honors those who have undertaken extraordinary efforts in their personal or professional lives to deter drugs and violence.

Alright, no price drop just yet, sorry. There are a few website additions and we're beginning work on our next project which will, depending on what happens within the next two months, begin production soon. Hopefully things will continue on their positive upswing and I will post more details on the upcoming endeavor early/mid March. The sections which have been added to the website are the 'Necropolis Awakened Press' section which you will be able to find under press, and also the 'resume' section, which you will be able to find under resume.

Finally an update! Check out the excellent new Necropolis Awakened review here. Almost five years after it's release and it's still finding an audience!
Ok, so currently the production side of hudsonpro is quite slow at the moment. There's a few projects being milled over but nothing definate at this moment. Hopefully something will begin to surface early next year.
On the Silent Message front things continue at a slow but steady pace. Duke has just finished up two seminars in the recent months, one in Portland and another in Pendleton Oregon and the prices for both Silent Message and Downfall will drop from the $19.95 mark to $11.95 beginning January 1st, 2008.
Look for another update when the prices of both titles drop, at that time the future of hudsonpro will be much less fuzzy and hopefully there will be many new things to report. Until then!

Apologize for the lack of updates, the hudsonpro crew have all been moving to various locations in the past month, with half the crew ( Myself and Duke ) headed to southern CA and the other ( Brandon ) headed east.
Speaking of Brandon, he is featured on the April/May cover of Fitness RX which you can find nationwide. He has also been featured in the March issue of Muscle & Fitness and the February issue of Exercise For Men Only.
I have also added the 'Press' section to hudsonpro.com, if you wish to read some of the reviews and feedback we've gotten for our previous works including Silent Message, Downfall and Necropolis Awakened.

hudsonpro are currently participating in the Child Abuse Summit, which is taking place in Portland, Oregon from April 17th-20th. We will be showcasing the movies Downfall and Silent Message and will have our own booth for the four day event.
Also attending the event will be the 'Bridge The Gap' Foundation whose link you can find on our link section above and on our main site. Bridge The Gap trains around child abuse, domestic violence and sexual violence. Bridge the Gap has contributed and acquired rights to the film 'Silent Message'. The film will be used as the basis for trainings and presentations. The vision for Bridge the Gap is to create an educational experience that will MOVE people to feel more confident to protect children and facilitate a process to create teen change agents. Silent Message was featured on the front page of 'The Oregonian' this Monday. You can check out the article which is also featured online by clicking here, View The Oregonian Article.
Silent Message was also featured on the Central Oregon FOX News and on the front pages of 'The Pioneer' and in 'The Bulletin,' these and pictures from the public march will be featured on our site for viewing shortly.

February 19th, 2007 from 1-3 pm a public march entitled the "Silent Message March" will commence in Madras Oregon that will raise awareness for the protection of children against sexual assault.
The march will be followed by speeches including a speech to be delivered by Duke White the producer of Silent Message.
That evening a special screening of Silent Message will be held in Madras at the Film Center adjacent to the Jefferson County Library. There will be no charge for admission to this special screening.

Silent Message screened twice last week and enclosed below are some screencaps from the events.
We held the first showing to our biggest audience yet, the crowd totalling almost 900.
We held our second screening later that night and although the crowd was smaller, it proved to be a very personal, instense showing. By far the most emotional screening the hudsonpro crew has ever attended - most audience members were holding hands, hugging and in tears by the end of the event - you could feel the emotion.

Later this week I will be posting pictures from our two screenings last Wednesday which had a combined total of over a thousand in attendance! It was a great experience, I will also be posting newspaper articles that were published regarding the screenings.
